Gamera versus Gassharp

   Few people know that Gamera was supposed to go up against an all new threat after the climactic fish fry ending of Gamera versus Zigra. His next battle was to be an all or nothing match against Gassharp. Now your all thinking what in gods Name is a Gassharp? Well Gassharp was/is a gigantic snake/slug monster ( much more meancing than the the one in the "lost" film Thunder of a Gigantic Serpent. wich I will disscuss in a later post.), it is an interesting choice. The only other serpentine kaiju I can recall of the top of my head is Manda from Toho's Atragon (orignal appearance.). But he/it was more of a chinese style dragon than a true snake.

     Sadly for us giant monster fans Daia Went bankrupt before the film could be completed. I had hoped Gassharp would have showed up the Gamera revial flicks but it just wasn't meant to be.
